Gloss Coated Paper

Fold vs Score & Fold
Fold Only
A standard fold is suitable for lighter paper stocks, typically up to about 170gsm. The sheet is folded directly, creating a clean crease without requiring any additional preparation. This
option is cost-effective and works perfectly for everyday brochures, menus or handouts printed on thinner paper.
Fold + Score
Scoring is recommended for thicker stocks, usually 170gsm and above. Scoring places a shallow, pre-pressed line into the paper before folding. This prevents cracking along the spine, reduces
stress on the paper fibres, and ensures the fold is crisp, smooth and professional. Fold + score is ideal for higher-end brochures, premium menus, and designs with heavy ink coverage across the fold.
